StubllaEnergy plans to install a 170 MW power plant consisting of wind turbines with a capacity of 132 MW and photovoltaic panels of an overall 38 MW.

The Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of Kosovo* scheduled a public debate on the environmental impact assessment or EIA for a hybrid power plant near Prishtina. The event will be held on May 12 in Novobërda – Novo Brdo, also known as Artana, in the building of the municipal assembly, but the public can also participate via Zoom.

The 170 MW project called Jasenovik is under development by StubllaEnergy, based in Gornja Stubla (Stubëll e Epërme) in the southeast, close to the border with North Macedonia. The company intends to install 25 wind turbines with a total capacity of 132 MW and add a solar power facility of an overall 38 MW.

Kosovo.Energy reported that StubllaEnergy would also build a substation for the hybrid power plant and that it has sent a request to the Transmission, System and Market Operator (KOSTT) for a grid connection.

* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244/99 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
